Agent Operations Contractor

About the role

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking an Agent Operations Contractor to support a confidential research project studying how AI agents operate autonomously on the open internet over long time horizons. You will serve as the human-in-the-loop for these AI agents, managing credentials, accounts, and permissions while escalating ambiguous or out-of-bounds requests to the research team.

Responsibilities

• Field requests from AI agents via a team console and Slack
• Operate a remote browser to complete account signups, logins, captchas, and identity/phone verifications for approved services
• Create, store, rotate, and retire passwords, API keys, and 2FA codes in a shared password vault per established handling rules
• Mint and manage API keys/tokens for agents, including setting permission limits and revoking access as needed
• Maintain an accurate inventory of agent-held accounts, domains, and keys
• Communicate with agents to clarify requests and escalate ambiguous or out-of-bounds requests to the research team
• Help maintain a list of approved/disallowed services and activities
• Provide a short daily written summary of activity and notable observations

Requirements

• Comfortable and curious working with AI agents; ideally an experienced user of Claude or similar AI tools
• Trustworthy with sensitive credentials and strong discretion/judgment
• Technically fluent power user familiar with concepts like API keys, DNS records, GitHub repos, and 2FA codes
• Clear, concise written communication skills for async reporting (Slack, Google Docs)
• High tolerance for repetitive, detail-heavy work
• Reliable availability during US Pacific business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in trust & safety, IT help desk, QA, research operations, or data-labeling
• Light scripting/spreadsheet automation experience
• Experience with password managers, authenticator apps, or remote-desktop/VNC tools

Pay

$115.00 – $115.00/hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Schedule

Flexible, estimated 5–30 hours/week depending on project demands; availability during US Pacific business hours required.
