About the role
The position involves providing total customer service, processing customer tickets, checking baggage, enforcing safety measures, and assisting customers with special needs.
Responsibilities
- Processing customer tickets, checking baggage, monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assigning seats.
- Providing information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements.
- Handling denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, accommodating customers, and providing hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate.
- Ensuring FAA, airline, and airport regulations are followed.
- Enforcing safety/security measures and protecting sensitive zones.
- Aiding customers with special needs, such as those needing assistance in boarding.
- Loading and uploading baggage on and off the aircraft.
- Marauding in the planes and pushing back the aircraft.
- Assisting with ramp and aircraft cleaning, operations, and commissary duties as required.
- Communicating effectively with customers.
- Working in extreme outdoor conditions.
- Pushing/pulling/lifting 70 lbs. on a continuous basis.
- Reading and writing English; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Attending required training.
- Reporting any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
- Completing all required training.
- Only completing tasks for which you are fully trained.
- Reporting to the Station Leader.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986.
- Must be able to attend required training.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Possess basic computer skills.
