About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to become our newest Shelter Insurance Agent in Delphi, IN. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a desire to meet new people, develop contacts, and become a recognized community leader. If you are passionate about serving your community, growing your sales and business skills, and controlling your own income, this role offers the chance to start your own business without the burden of extreme start-up costs.

At Shelter, a background in the insurance industry is not required—around half of our agents have no prior insurance experience. Our agents come from diverse backgrounds, including real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. What we look for is a motivated attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, and strong communication skills in a sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop prospects and sell Shelter insurance products as your primary focus.
• Build and grow your agency within the community.
• Opportunity to hire staff for administrative support and sales assistance.
• Maintain a business owner’s mindset to meet sales requirements and core business proficiencies.

Requirements

• Motivated attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong communication and sales skills (prior sales experience is helpful but not required).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• No prior insurance industry experience necessary.
• No capital or assets required to start—financial responsibilities are limited to any unsatisfied bills (e.g., advertising, utilities) upon departure.
