About the role

We are seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to open a Shelter Insurance Agency in Beaver Dam, KY. No prior insurance experience is required; around half of our new agents come from backgrounds such as real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. What matters most is a motivated attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, and strong communication skills for client-facing sales. Shelter provides in-house and virtual new-agent training plus continuing industry education to build your foundation. There are no upfront capital or asset requirements, and no loans or agency purchase fees—just the opportunity to launch your own business with limited post-departure obligations (e.g., advertising, phone, utilities).

Responsibilities

• Develop prospects and sell Shelter Insurance products as the agency’s primary focus.
• Build and nurture community relationships to grow your client base.
• Manage day-to-day agency operations, including administrative tasks and staffing decisions.
• Meet sales requirements and core business proficiencies to maintain the agency.
