Agency Safety Representative

Key Responsibilities

• Makes sure the agency’s safety performance is good
• Helps make rules for staying safe
• Checks if vans and drivers follow safety rules
• Tells people about safety problems and helps fix them
• Trains drivers and workers on safety
• Looks for ways to make things better
• Works with new drivers to help them learn

Minimum Qualifications

• A college degree in safety, transportation, communications, or similar field
• At least 2 years of safety work experience in transportation or moving
• Knowledge of DOT guidelines, OSHA rules, and other safety laws
• Skills using Microsoft Office tools like Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Good at organizing, talking, listening, and managing time
• Can think creatively to solve safety problems

Physical Requirements

• Needs to see clearly, hear, and move around
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds sometimes
• Needs to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach
