About the role

State Farm’s Agency Talent Acquisition Team (ATA) executes enterprise recruiting strategies to attract, develop, and place high-quality agency candidates while supporting the long-term success of State Farm's agency force. The team partners with Agency Field Leadership and enterprise stakeholders to provide strategic direction, talent insights, and operational excellence throughout the recruiting lifecycle. This agile organization balances today’s recruiting priorities with evolving business needs, ensuring a consistent and exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.

The Agency Recruiting Manager leads a diverse team supporting the end-to-end agency recruiting process, including managers overseeing the Agency Talent Professional team and the Field Liaison team that connects recruiting with Agency Field Leadership. This role develops talent strategies, drives operational excellence, fosters enterprise partnerships, and aligns recruiting efforts with business objectives. Success requires exceptional leadership, collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable recruiting strategies that strengthen the future agency force.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, strategic planning, direction, and coordination for the recruiting function and across Agency Optimization.
  • Assist Director and/or Department leadership in establishing, implementing, and communicating short- and long-term recruiting strategies.
  • Leverage strategic goals and outcomes to make decisions regarding Agency recruiting processes and programs.
  • Lead innovation and enhancements, including research, business case development, and competitive market insights.
  • Identify strategic integration and connection across the agent lifecycle to enhance candidate experience, influence selection, and inform hand-off to Agency Learning.
  • Implement the agent placement plan, recruiting strategy, vendor relationships, and candidate process based on strategic vision and integration of the recruiting plan.
  • Apply knowledge of agent compensation, policies, practices, structure, and philosophy, including agent agreements and placement goals, to execute recruiting results aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Provide leadership, expertise, and direction in support of business objectives, goals, and change initiatives.
  • Oversee selection, training, development, performance management, and salary administration for assigned employees.
  • May require overnight travel via commercial transportation or driving to Company office locations, training, conferences, meetings, or seminars.
  • May work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • May manage teleworkers.

  • Proven ability to lead and deliver completed staff work.
  • Strong organization, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of planning and analysis, data analytics, agency, and/or field operations.
  • Ability to problem-solve, think critically, influence adoption of new business practices, and model a growth mindset while working in ambiguity.
  • Attention to detail while driving pace and speed to market.
  • Ability to anticipate and act appropriately to identify and solve problems.
  • Applicants must be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor work authorization (e.g., H-1B visa).

Work Locations

Hybrid positions available in the following locations:

  • Bloomington, IL – Corporate
  • Dunwoody, GA – ParkCenter Hub
  • Richardson, TX – CityLine Hub
  • Tempe, AZ – Marina Heights Hub

A "Hybrid" arrangement means selected candidates will work both in-office and remotely. Relocation benefits will not apply.

Pay

Potential starting salary range: $137,000 – $185,000. Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience. The high end of the range is limited to applicants with significant relevant experience. Compensation is based on a standard 38:45-hour work week.
