Responsibilities
- Oversight of nursing and medical needs of ATS clients
- Quality of care
- Staff supervision and training
- Compliance with agency policies and procedures, state licensing regulations and CARF accreditation standards
- Communication with referral sources and other outside agencies regarding health and medical needs of ATS clients
- Coordination of medical services provided for ATS clients
- Education sessions regarding health and medical issues for ATS clients and staff
- Serving as a member of the Safety Committee and ad hoc member of Clinical Team
Requirements
- Possess current R.N. license
- Knowledge and experience regarding client care issues related to substance use including, withdrawal, denial, knowledge of community referral resources and basics of psychiatric and medical nursing
- Effective communication and organization skills
- Prioritize State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and/or national nursing specific substance abuse certification
- Valid driver’s license in addition to current CPR and First Aid Certification
