Agency Managing Director (Commercial P&C)(Remote in AZ, CO or UT)

For our client, we are seeking a Agency Managing Director (Commercial P&C)(Remote in AZ, CO or UT) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will oversee agency partnerships with a focus on commercial property and casualty performance, strategic growth, and long-term relationship management. The role will serve as a key connector between agency leadership, underwriting, and internal distribution partners to support profitable expansion. Success in this position will depend on balancing customer service, financial discipline, and strong market insight. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually Responsibilities Oversee and manage agency financial performance by tracking profitability and growth Build and execute strategic business plans for agencies Identify and act on growth opportunities related to agency financial performance Act as the primary contact and advocate for agencies within the organization Foster relationships by navigating internal processes to influence decisions Influence underwriting decisions while maintaining customer service standards Collaborate with the distribution team to optimize commission structures Maintain and develop new agency relationships to create growth opportunities Resolve critical agency issues in a timely manner Drive strategic decisions based on market insights and challenges Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 8 years of market-facing experience; underwriting experience preferred 3 years managing direct relationships with agency ownership or leadership preferred Ability to identify long-term opportunities and align agency efforts with strategic goals Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated success in building positive relationships internally and externally Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills Benefits Hybrid work model available in Phoenix or remote in parts of Arizona, Utah, or Colorado High level of autonomy in the role Strong focus on relationship-building with agencies Opportunities for professional development and career growth Collaborative work environment with internal partners Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
