Ag Technician
Ziegler Ag Equipment is seeking a dedicated Ag Technician to work on the full line of agricultural equipment, from planting to harvest, at our Fort Dodge branch. Ideal candidates will have excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, along with a strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment, including application, tillage, planting, and harvest equipment.
- Document work orders thoroughly and promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Work safely at all times, adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with and assist other technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and product knowledge.
Requirements
- 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or a related field; or a high school diploma/GED with 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience.
- 2+ years of relevant agricultural diesel engine/equipment repair experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a plus.
- Ability to write and communicate effectively, and interact professionally with supervisors, customers, and team members.
- Basic computer skills for documenting work orders and using online diagnostic systems.
- Own mechanic tool set.
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- This role is safety-sensitive and requires passing a pre-employment drug test.
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
- Lift bulky objects.
- Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, and neck/trunk rotation.
- Stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, and crawling.
- Bin lift, high steps, and fingering/grasping (e.g., using a bolt box).
Working Conditions
May be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise levels may be loud at times.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $27.00 to $45.00 per hour. Starting wage depends on skills, experience, education, and location. Pay may vary by up to 10% based on the applicant’s location.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
