Responsibilities
- Proper care and maintenance of the delivery truck.
- Ordering and maintaining bulk plant facilities.
- Recording daily tickets on manifest summary report.
- Maintaining purchase order records.
- Completing driver’s daily inspection reports.
- Enforcing and adhering to the company credit policy.
- Establishing and maintaining efficient route books.
- Maintaining good communication with stores and other personnel via phone and radio messaging.
- Adhering strictly to the delivery price sheet provided by management.
- Acknowledging any discounts given and obtaining management approval for all volume discounts.
- Purchase orders needed for all repair work.
- Working closely with store managers and personnel.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Adhering to all commercial motor vehicle rules and regulations.
- Respecting customer property always.
Requirements
- Class B CDL required.
- Clean driving record with all applicable endorsements required.
- Experience with fast-paced delivery experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills; ability to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and the general public.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy.
- Ability to maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service throughout the store.
- Ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
- Manager focus on all interactions and exhibit strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Professional and positive image.
Pay
Salary Range: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour. Does not include potential bonuses.
