Aftermarket Parts Sales Manager

About the role
The Aftermarket Sales Manager is responsible for managing and procuring service and parts customer accounts. This role involves developing customer relationships through meetings and ongoing communications while representing the company’s core values and strategic direction. You will lead a dynamic aftermarket outside sales team to enhance service and parts revenue and profitability, working closely with Parts Managers, Service Managers, and other leadership to meet operating objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Outside Parts Sales Team for the assigned region at Allegiance Trucks.
- Execute consultative customer contacts designed to achieve financial sales targets.
- Improve customer retention and fixed operations coverage.
- Maintain key internal, customer, and vendor relationships.
- Consult with dealerships to increase fixed operations customer retention and profitability, identifying follow-up or action items.
- Achieve sales objectives by consulting with dealerships and customers on growing fixed operations business.
- Manage, monitor, and train all outside sales staff to ensure a profitable, productive, and effective sales force.
- Lead approximately ten Outside Parts and Service Sales Representatives, targeting $200K in sales per month per individual.
- Manage approximately 750 customer accounts; each sales representative maintains a maximum of 75 accounts.
- Build parts and service sales strategies across multiple markets using E-Commerce tools and direct sales techniques.
- Assist the outside parts and service sales team on customer calls, providing support and training.
- Develop and execute fixed operations sales and marketing plans to achieve company objectives.
- Identify potential customers and assist them with service and parts needs.
- Develop new strategies to reach markets and new customers.
- Demonstrate good judgment and superior communication skills when setting achievable expectations and profitable deals.
- Efficiently address customer needs and issues as they arise, determining key resolutions.
- Routinely review existing customers for expanded service and parts opportunities.
- Proactively manage work activities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and use technical tools for customer and deal updates.
- Lead the assigned outside service and parts sales team to execute a sales strategy that fosters goal achievement and scalable success.
- Maintain current knowledge of the competitive parts and service environment within assigned markets.
- Assist in marketing parts and service, including specials, promotions, and other initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma and/or GED is required. A combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
- College degree preferred.
- A minimum of three to five years’ experience with heavy-duty truck parts and service in a dealership, fleet, fleet maintenance, or similar environment.
- Three to five years’ experience in sales, preferably in outside parts or service sales.
- High level of knowledge of parts and service product lines.
- Customer-service oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with customers, employees, and all levels of management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Experience with CRM tools and software; comfortable inputting data into IT systems.
- Strong time management and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel to remote locations.
Working Conditions
This position is primarily office-based. Mobility involving walking, standing, and bending is frequent. The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, listen, and use vision or corrected vision. Occasional walking, use of hands and fingers to operate objects or tools, and reaching with hands and arms may be required. Travel may be necessary.

Pay
The total compensation package for this position typically consists of 60% salary and 40% variable compensation based on growth.
