Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the welfare and safety of children and respond accordingly.
- Cooking and leading engaging activities, such as arts and crafts, games and service projects while providing close supervision with students at play.
- Support students to ensure they complete their homework.
- Provide structure and discipline to prevent any behavioral issues.
- Cooking with the program assistant to ensure the closing and end of day logistics.
- Contact substitutes to cover for other staff as needed, updating the substitute list with hours substitutes are available to cover.
- Review supply requests needed for the program and monitor expenses in accordance with the after-school program.
- Work collaboratively with site and school personnel.
Qualifications
- Complete a criminal background check and safe environment training provided by the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh.
- Experience: 1 year in childcare (preferred).
- Certifications: First Aid Certification (preferred), CPR Certification (preferred).
- Ability to relocate to Wake Forest, NC 27587 before starting work (required).
