After School Technology Instructor for Students K-6

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our after school programs. Lead instructors guide students through our world-class, project-based learning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, game design, and more!

Responsibilities

• Guide students through our project-based learning curriculum
• Teach technology skills in areas like coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, game design, and more
• Work in an in-room setting with excited students
• Work part-time, hourly, after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday with earlier start times on Tuesdays (1:00-6:00 PM)
• Must be at least 21 years old and have significant experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology
• Must have reliable transportation throughout Fresno Unified School District and be able to transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment
• Must have consistent attendance and be available for substitute teachers
• Must have strong technology skills, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc., or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completed 48 college units minimally OR have taken and passed the NCLB Exam or compliant equivalent
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred
• Reliable transportation throughout Fresno Unified School District with ability to transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment
• Available after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday with earlier start times on Tuesdays (1:00-6:00 PM)
• Must be at least 21 years old and have significant experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology, both is even better!
• Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required
• Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 for elementary schoolers
• Strong technology skills preferred, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc., or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming

$20/hr - $27/hr

Schedule

Part-time, hourly, after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday with earlier start times on Tuesdays (1:00-6:00 PM)
