After School Technology Instructor

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our after school programs. Lead instructors guide students through our world-class, project-based learning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, game design, and more!

Responsibilities

• Guide students through our project-based learning curriculum
• Work with students ages 8-14 or technology enthusiasts
• Teach in-room with excited students
• Work part-time, hourly position
• Receive paid training

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completed 48 college units minimally OR passed the NCLB Exam or compliant equivalent
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred
• Reliable transportation throughout Vallejo City Unified School District
• Able to work after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday
• At least 21 years of age
• Significant experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology
• Comfortable with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 for elementary schoolers
• Strong technology skills preferred, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc., or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming

• Taught in some capacity
• Experience with technology
