After School Teaching Artist - Piano
About the role
Wellan Montessori School is accepting applications for Teaching Artists to provide after school piano lessons for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Responsibilities
- Offer individual in-person lessons after school
- Recitals held at the end of each semester
- Varying hours between 3-6pm Monday-Friday based on enrollment and teacher availability
Requirements
- Excellent skills on the instrument
- Experience teaching children in Kindergarten through Grade 8
- Able to foster a love of music in students
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related music field required
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments
Skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles
- Patience and enthusiasm for teaching music
Pay
The pay rate for this position is between $70-$80/hour.
Schedule
Hours vary between 3-6pm Monday-Friday depending on enrollment and teacher availability.
