About the Role

Location: Sherman Oaks
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 2:45 - 4:45pm

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support in after-school program activities that promote students’ academic, social, and recreational development.
  • Facilitate enrichment activities and group projects, prepare materials for activities, and support student engagement.
  • Assist with student check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate attendance records and safe student release.
  • Supervise students during program hours, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces, including classrooms, outdoor areas, and shared program spaces.
  • Provide general assistance to program staff to ensure activities run smoothly and students remain engaged.
  • Monitor student behavior and reinforce program expectations and positive behavior practices.
  • Assist with transitions between activities, including lining up, moving between spaces, and organizing groups.
  • Communicate student needs or concerns to program staff as appropriate.
  • Support the implementation of structured activities, games, and enrichment opportunities for students.
  • Follow all program policies, safety procedures, and child supervision guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education, child development, or related fields is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
  • Ability to assist with the physical and emotional needs of participants.

Pay

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn. Salaries will vary based on professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
