Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily after-school program operations
- Ensure a safe, structured, and welcoming environment
- Manage program schedule including homework time, activities, reading, math, and Bible time
- Maintain attendance records and program organization
- Build consistent, caring relationships with children
- Provide mentorship and encouragement
- Support students navigating difficult circumstances
- Cultivate a culture of respect and belonging
- Coordinate volunteers serving in the program
- Provide clear direction for daily activities
- Ensure proper supervision and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with TNC’s statement of faith
- Experience working with children or youth programs
- Strong relational skills and ability to work with children from diverse backgrounds
- Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Ability to create a structured and welcoming environment
- Trauma-informed care training (or willingness to receive training) preferred
