About the role

The After-School Literacy Program Coach plays a crucial role in enhancing reading skills among elementary school students in Madison. This individual will lead small group sessions, provide one-on-one support, and collaborate with teachers and parents to foster a love for reading.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement literacy programs tailored to meet the needs of diverse student populations.
  • Provide individualized support to students to improve their reading comprehension and fluency.
  • Work closely with teachers and parents to develop comprehensive home-school connections.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance coaching skills.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, literacy, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children in a classroom or after-school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Qualifications
