After-School Literacy Program Coach (Creighton)

About the role

The primary responsibility of the Program Coach is to provide one-on-one tutoring to students in grades K-3, focusing on improving reading comprehension and fluency. The Program Coach will also assist in planning and implementing after-school literacy programs.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in grades K-3, focusing on reading comprehension and fluency.
• Implement and adapt after-school literacy programs as needed.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in regular meetings with program coordinators and other coaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field.
• Experience working with children in a classroom or tutoring setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Common Core State Standards.
• Experience with differentiated instruction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Program hours are typically Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, but may vary based on student needs.
