After School Group Leader
Be the best part of a child's day. As an After School Group Leader with Kamaʻāina Kids, you'll create afternoons filled with laughter, creativity, friendship, and discovery. Whether you're leading a game on the playground, helping with homework, or guiding an exciting STEM activity, you'll play an important role in helping children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.
Pay
$18–$21/hour + benefits for part-time employees
Schedule
Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule that leaves your evenings and weekends free.
- Monday–Friday afternoons
- Typical shifts from 1:30 PM–5:30 PM
- Wednesday shifts begin around 12:30 PM for early-release schools
- No evenings
- No weekends
- No holiday shifts

Responsibilities
Every afternoon is a little different—which keeps the job fun and rewarding. You'll help create a welcoming environment where children can learn, play, and thrive by:
- Leading games, sports, and outdoor activities
- Planning arts, crafts, STEM, and enrichment projects
- Helping students with homework and academic support
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Encouraging teamwork, kindness, and good decision-making
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging program
Requirements
You don't need to have all the answers—you just need a genuine desire to make a difference. We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with elementary-aged children
- Brings energy, patience, and a positive attitude
- Is dependable and leads by example
- Works well as part of a supportive team
- Wants to make a lasting impact in their community
- Is at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
