After School Famil Welcome Specialist
Position Summary
The Family Welcome Specialist is responsible for cheerfully greeting guardians and signing out children in accordance with the Just for Kids protocol. They ensure that the child(ren) are only released to adults on the approved pick-up list (verified through guardian IDs and child’s profile). They communicate parent arrival to the corresponding staff member, help maintain a positive work climate, ensure children are escorted to their guardians in a timely and efficient manner, check guardians ID alongside the child’s approved pick-up list confirming the guardian is approved to pick up the child, develop proficiency with the Just for Kids attendance software, maintain accurate record keeping (i.e. attendance records), sign out the students, provide direct competent supervision of children at all times, while escorting children to guardian, and schedule Monday through Friday 2:30pm/3:00pm-5:00pm/5:30pm on days school is in session.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be cleared through NYS OCFS
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to multitask in an organized manner
- Ability to provide cheerful and supportive customer service to parents at pickup
Physical Requirements
- This position requires the transportation of students from various indoor/outdoor locations to meet their guardians at pickup.
- Physical ability to work around small children including, sitting, standing, running and climbing stairs.
- Must be able to lift, carry or move up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- This position also includes prolonged periods of standing and walking.
