About the role
Provide a stimulating, safe and healthy learning environment.
Conduct academic assessments, provide homework assistance, and plan/implement curriculum instruction as prescribed by funder.
Develop learning strategies to meet the varied individual needs of the children.
Implement teaching procedures and behavioral strategies.
Always ensure engagement in meaningful activities.
Provide individual and group instruction to meet the needs of the classroom population.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and security SOPs.
Ensure that children served are free from abuse and neglect.

Requirements
- A teacher’s certificate or letter of eligibility from the Department of Education.
- Experience teaching students with varying exceptionalities.
- Minimum of two years of active classroom teaching.
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
- Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical and drug screen.

- Knowledge of special education methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans.
- Experience working in a team-based environment.

Pay
$30/hour
Schedule
Part-Time: Monday- Thursday 3 hours per day
