After-School Teacher

About This Role

We seek a dedicated and experienced educator to lead our after-school program, where you will plan engaging activities, prepare instructional materials, and support students in their academic development.

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute daily lesson plans, ensuring a well-structured and stimulating learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with students to complete homework assignments, providing individualized guidance and support in reading, writing, and math.
• Purchase and prepare necessary learning materials and equipment, including books, arts and crafts, and other supplies.
• Organize and supervise outdoor activities, fostering a love for exploration and physical activity.
• Establish positive relationships with students, providing emotional support, motivation, and guidance to help them succeed.
• Maintain a tidy and organized classroom, promoting a sense of responsibility and respect among students.
• Ensure that all students adhere to school rules, policies, and guidelines, creating a safe and inclusive environment.
• Provide transportation services to and from local schools as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum education requirement: CDA, TCC or Associates degree
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 35lbs
• Motor vehicle record required
• Valid driver's license
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Able to drive 15 passenger van
• Able to engage in physical activities with children
• Must pass comprehensive background check
