About the role
We are a small setting in one room with children ages 5-12. We guide children to be independent learners in an afterschool community.
Responsibilities
- Engage in baking, crafts, sewing, knitting, and quilting activities.
- Explore concepts in Botany, Geography, Language, Math, Geometry, and Science.
- Build resilience and offer a sense of achievement through hands-on activities.
- Introduce children to art.
- Foster children's independence and love for being outside.
- Engage in a positive social environment.
- Become a part of our community.
Qualifications
- Love for one on one teaching and working with children in small groups.
- Experience in guiding children to be independent learners.
- Knowledge and interest in Botany, Geography, Language, Math, Geometry, and Science.
- Ability to engage in hands-on activities like baking, crafts, sewing, knitting, and quilting.
- Positive social skills and ability to create a supportive environment.
