After School Caregiver
Job Summary
BAYADA Habilitation is seeking a Habilitation Technician to serve as a Companion/Buddy for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for those looking for part-time work after school hours, typically Monday through Friday from 2pm-6pm.
About the Role
As a Companion/Buddy, you will build long-lasting relationships with clients in a one-on-one setting. Your responsibilities include supporting clients in developing their independence, attending to their needs with dignity and respect, and ensuring their safety and well-being in the community. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support.
Responsibilities
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities, such as Special Olympics.
- Support clients in achieving their personal goals, including budgeting, socializing, shopping, using public transportation, and exercise.
- Be attentive to meet the individual’s needs with dignity and respect.
- Ensure client safety and well-being in the home and community.
- Have fun on Oahu as a supportive Buddy!
Requirements
No prior experience is required. Key requirements include:
- At least 18 years of age.
- A passion for providing opportunities to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Patience, empathy, and dedication.
- The ability to thrive in a culture that cares.

Compensation & Schedule
Weekly pay, starting at $19 and up based on experience. Flexible scheduling is offered, with short commute times to match you to opportunities in your community.
