Duties And Responsibilities
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure high quality after-school and summer programs.
- Aid with operational and administrative tasks such as completing paperwork, ordering supplies, curriculum preparation and implementation, staff training, marketing efforts, and other tasks as directed.
- Utilize appropriate child guidance and classroom management strategies.
- Model and instill Great Hearts 9 Core Virtues (responsibility, perseverance, integrity, honesty, courage, citizenship, humility, friendship, wisdom).
- Maintain licensing compliance in all areas of program operations.
- Respond to and document student behavior according to protocols.
- Escalate incident reports and significant events to the Campus Coordinator.
- Substitute in classrooms as needed.
- Act on behalf of the Campus Coordinator in their absence.
- Adhere to Great Hearts policies, procedures, and business initiatives.
- Attend meetings at home office and other local business locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required/Preferred Education
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.

- The successful candidate will be a principled, professional leader with an independent work ethic and a heart of service to others.
- They must demonstrate sound business judgment and wisdom in dealing with people.
- They will possess requisite experience in the field of liberal arts and/or education, as well as experience with children and children’s programming.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in a licensed program and meet the qualifications of Director Designee in accordance with Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Child Care Licensing.
Physical Functions
- Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
- May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
Employment
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Travel
May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
