Academy of International Studies Elementary is currently interviewing for a part-time Aftercare Assistant position starting immediately.
About the role
Aftercare Assistants support the Aftercare Coordinator to supervise PK3–5th grade students in the aftercare program, assist students with themed projects and crafts, provide behavioral support when needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
Pay
$16.94/hour
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:45 pm – 5:45 pm
- Half days: mandatory start at 12:00 pm – 5:45 pm
Requirements
- Experience and confidence working with elementary-age children
- Reliability, responsibility, professionalism
- Ability to take direction easily and apply individual initiative when needed
- Provide creative planning and implementing structured activities/clubs
- Monitor children during outdoor activities
- Training and experience using positive discipline, restorative practices, and other non-punitive forms of discipline
