AFE Ops Associate

Description

Alexa Freight is seeking a Freight Operations Associate to support the movement of freight shipments for external customers. This role involves direct communication with carriers, suppliers, and customers to resolve daily freight movement issues. Key responsibilities include maintaining constant communication, pulling data from various systems, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain constant, tactical communication with external freight partners (carriers, suppliers, and customers) and internal stakeholders (product, business intelligence, sales, and fulfillment centers)
• Expertly pull data from various databases using tools like Excel, SQL, and Access to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis
• Publish performance metrics to help drive business results and identify areas for improvement
• Systematically escalate issues or data variances to the appropriate teams and follow through on resolutions
• Meet tight deadlines to address critical business needs while tracking and measuring own activities
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations

Qualifications

• 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Are 18 years of age or older
