Job Description
- Perform all facial and waxing services as listed on the spa treatment menu
- Provide all treatments as mentioned according to procedures and guidelines specified for these
- Provide knowledge and information about skin care appropriate for each guest as well as to provide a personalized prescription for each
- Demonstrate the importance of punctuality for all appointments, both in spa and for in-room services
- Understand that certain treatments will be available in guestrooms, treatment that easily and professionally can be administered in this situation
- Maintain accurate inventory controls of supplies, and also use supplies accurately, sufficiently, but not wastefully, in a manner that provides excellent quality treatments with efficient use of products
- Assist with planning of new treatments and products
- Assist in basic training of additional aestheticians, if needed, prior to professional trainer’s seminars or clinics
- Learn general spa operations, and when asked to, fill in as needed, possibly escorting guests throughout the facility or performing other duties
- Assist in the retail areas, dealing mainly with the skin care/aromatherapy products, as needed
- Adhere to uniform standards at all times
- Act as a representative of the Spa and it’s philosophy, and to reflect a healthy, fit appearance and positive attitude
- Adhere to on-call duties/protocols
- Maintain a professional courteous disposition during all guest and team member interactions while at work
- Understand that work schedules change according to business demands at the discretion of management, and to adhere to assigned work schedules at all times
- Report any injuries, safety issues or guest incidents to a manager within designated time frames
- Keep current on all policy and procedures revisions/changes by reading all posted memos and announcements
- Attend all mandatory spa and hotel meetings
- Attend all mandatory spa training sessions
- Recommend other spa/resort facilities, programs and products to guests
- Assist the spa management team in any other tasks as needed and deemed appropriate

Qualifications
- Proper and current certification or licenses as mandated by the state of California
- Prior practical experience in a professional environment
- Spa/hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and high level of guest service orientation
- Ability to work with a diverse population of guests and team members
- A friendly, personable disposition and positive attitude
