About the role

Blue Origin is seeking multiple Aerospace Systems Engineers across our Business Units. You will be matched with an appropriate engineering team based on your skillset and experience and our current business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support.
  • Work with others to establish and improve processes and procedures.
  • Decompose internal customer requirements and requests into test system requirements specifications, including bi-directional traceability.
  • Develop & manage interfaces through requirements and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and drawings.
  • Lead and present at major gated reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) on system overall technical readiness and status of Systems Engineering deliverables.
  • Own the verification and validation planning, traceability and completion through test plan creation and completion of Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).

Qualifications

  • An active Top Secret (preferrable) or Secret (acceptable) clearance is required for this role.
  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field, earned within the last year and able to start by Fall 2026.
  • Experience with Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering on complex systems.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into traceable tasks and concisely communicate project status.
  • Relevant internship/co-op and/or hands-on experience demonstrating development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
  • A flexible and adaptable mindset.
  • A self-driven individual with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.
  • A desire to pursue an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical subject area.
  • Experience with requirements development/management tools such as Jama.
  • Experience with systems engineering modeling tools, such as Rhapsody or Cameo.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with Flight Dynamics.
  • Previous customer facing roles with experience presenting to and directly interacting with customers.

Pay

Base Pay Range For CO applicants is $74,537.00 - $104,351.10
WA applicants is $81,313.00 - $113,837.85
