AEROSPACE VEHICLE / SYSTEMS ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN – 14 openings in El Segundo, CA (100% onsite).

About the role

Seeking experienced Aerospace Vehicle Technicians to support spacecraft integration, mechanical assembly, testing, and Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of high-reliability aerospace/spacecraft components.
• Install and fit Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) and thermal blankets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, DMMs, and depth gauges.
• Operate hand and power tools in assembly processes.
• Work with composites, epoxy, and assembly tooling.
• Conduct testing and integration of aerospace systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of mechanical assembly experience with high-reliability products.
• Experience with spacecraft or aerospace assembly strongly preferred.
• 1+ year of MLI or thermal blanket experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Experience with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, DMMs, depth gauges).
• Strong hand and power tool experience.
• Experience with composites, epoxy, or assembly tooling.
• Cleanroom experience preferred.
• J-STD-001 Space or NASA-STD-8739.4 certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• U.S. Person status required for export compliance.

Pay

$37.25 per hour.

Schedule

• Variable shift – 1st or 2nd shift.
• 6 openings – 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• 8 openings – 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 12:00 AM.
