Aerospace Structural Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform precision welding on aerospace components using TIG, MIG, and other welding techniques
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements
• Conduct structural repairs and modifications on aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium components
• Ensure all welds meet quality standards and comply with applicable codes and procedures
• Perform post-weld inspections, including visual and non-destructive testing (NDT), as required
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues
• Maintain detailed welding records, inspection logs, and fabrication documentation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace or structural welding
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and stick welding on aerospace-grade materials
• Experience in MIG/TIG welding of aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel components
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications
• Able to pass the NAVSEA certification test in welding techniques for aluminum welding

Qualifications

• Experience working in DoD or military aerospace programs
• Familiarity with NAVSEA, USAF, or USN aerospace structural repair standards
• Prior experience with fabrication of UAVs, aircraft parts, or aerospace systems

Skills

• Welding proficiency in TIG, MIG, and stick techniques
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Experience with MIG/TIG welding of aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel
• Knowledge of NAVSEA, USAF, or USN aerospace structural repair standards
• Experience with UAVs, aircraft parts, or aerospace systems fabrication

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule is flexible but requires frequent attendance at the workplace.
