Aerospace Solderer - 1st Shift
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is seeking an Aerospace Solderer to join our team in Bethel, CT on the 1st shift (7 am - 3:30 pm, M-F). The hourly pay range is $24-$30, based on skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
About the role
The Solderer (White Room) is responsible for soldering and reworking very small and intricate products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional hand dexterity, a working knowledge of reading and interpreting technical procedures and blueprints, and be comfortable working in a team environment. This position is well suited for a patient individual who is a fast learner, focused on quality output, and enjoys working in a demanding atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Solder electro-mechanical components under a microscope and/or a magnifying glass.
- Assemble, setup, and maintain tooling.
- Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability.
- Perform visual inspection of parts.
- Maintain quality records.
- Interpret customer and supplier requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of soldering experience.

- No relocation benefit is offered; only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered (Active-Duty Military Service members exempt from this limitation).

Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 2 years of soldering experience.
- Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Skills
- High level of dexterity.
- Ability to follow written instructions, visual aids, sketches, and blueprints.
- Ability to work using a microscope for long periods of time.
- Ability to successfully solder to the acceptability requirements of J-STD-001.
