About the Role

The Quality Engineer performs all aspects required for proper evaluation and resolution of quality-related matters and technical issues that may arise during manufacturing and maintenance of turbine engine components. This role supports activities related to quality system requirements compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications and confer with engineering staff to determine quality standards.
  • Prepare corrective action responses, 8D problem solving for permanent corrective actions, and lead problem-solving activities.
  • Manage internal and customer drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrate and deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring timely release of control of configuration management documents.
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Actively support Cost-Out, Scrap/Rework reduction, and improved First Pass Yield site goals and objectives.
  • Develop, track, and provide statistical analysis, reports, and metrics for quality-related activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, or other related field) is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a quality engineer.
  • Six Sigma, 8D, or root cause analysis experience using statistical analysis tools.
  • Certification process experience (e.g., ISO9001:2008, AS9100/9110).
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 145, FAA Part 21, CAAC, CAA, or Military standards.
  • Proficiency in QDAS system, Excel, Minitab, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Familiarity with navigation of OEM Engine Manuals.

Schedule

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Pay

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
