Aerospace Painting Technician

Responsibilities

• Prime, and paint precision aerospace parts and components
• Apply coatings using HVLP spray equipment and other tools (training provided)
• Read and follow work instructions, safety protocols, and process documentation
• Conduct visual inspections for surface defects or coating inconsistencies
• Maintain a clean and organized paint booth and workspace
• Cookordination with the production team to ensure workflow efficiency and deadlines
• Track materials used and report any supply needs
• Follow proper procedures for chemical and paint disposal
• Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS9100, for example)
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace paint work
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety protocols, and process documentation
• Good physical stamina for manual labor
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of HVLP spray equipment and other painting tools
• Ability to coordinate with production team
