Aerospace Mechanical Inspector

Key Responsibilities

- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and complex in-process and final inspections. - Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. - Program, set up, and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) using [Zeiss Calypso / PC-DMIS] software. - Utilize manual measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, thread gages, and drop gages. - Document non-conformances and maintain accurate quality control records in our ERP system.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on quality inspection experience in an aerospace, defense, or tight-tolerance CNC machining environment. - Must have experience using at least these measuring methods- Zeiss CMM, Micrometers, Calipers, Height gages, Precision Bore Gages, Rockwell Hardness testers, Niko Vision System, Thread Gages. - Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards. - Proven proficiency in CMM programming and operation. - Experience with aerospace quality standards (AS9100/ISO 9001). - High school diploma or equivalent (Technical degree or ASME GDTP certification is a plus).

$30.00 - $50.00 per hour
