About the Role

This role is responsible for performing preliminary, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components in accordance with new engine manuals and FAA-approved technical data. You will play a key role in ensuring airworthiness, quality, and on-time delivery for critical engine components at our Beavercreek, Ohio facility. The site manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, manifolds, and turbine airfoils, with capabilities in complex machining, fabrication, investment casting, repair, overhaul, and new product development.

Responsibilities

• Execute all manufacturing work with a rigorous focus on safety, quality, and the critical nature of aircraft parts.
• Perform preliminary, in-process, and final inspections on engine and component parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, and compliance to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Use a computer to navigate blueprints, software, Microsoft products, and OEM/FAA technical data.
• Read and interpret OEM manuals, blueprints, and FAA-approved technical data.
• Complete inspection documentation, including Records of Measurement, certifications, and other required quality records.
• Verify traceability and documentation for incoming, in-process, and completed parts to ensure compliance and airworthiness.
• Support production flow by collaborating with operations, shipping, and other partners to meet on-time delivery commitments.
• Lift and exert 10–25 pounds of force frequently and 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Perform other inspection-related duties to support safety, quality, and delivery (SQD).
• Cross-train to work in all areas of the cell and run other processes as production needs require.
• Train other team members on standard work and machine operation as needed.
• Comply with mandatory or random drug testing requirements in designated areas.
• Assist in other areas as directed by leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• At least 6 months of relevant experience in a production, manufacturing, quality, or aerospace environment where safety, precision, and standard work are critical.
• Experience using manual calipers to perform precise dimensional inspections in a manufacturing environment.
• Visual acuity sufficient to accurately read micrometers, manual calipers, and other precision measuring instruments, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word) and navigate work instructions or quality documentation systems.
• Must be at least 18 years of age due to high-risk or hazardous operations and potential shift work beyond a standard workweek.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience accurately reading and interpreting technical documents such as blueprints, OEM/FAA technical data, customer specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing or inspection control plans.
• Prior experience in an aerospace or regulated environment with a strong focus on documentation, traceability, and compliance.
• FAA Repairman Certificate/License, or eligibility/interest in obtaining one based on role requirements.
• Team-oriented, professional approach to working with peers and leaders.
• Demonstrated pride in workmanship and commitment to quality.
• Strong attendance and punctuality record, with availability to work overtime as needed.

Pay

$22.75 – $26.00 per hour based on experience. Additional $1.50/hour premium for 2nd or 3rd shift. Inspectors who obtain and actively maintain an FAA Repairman License may qualify for an additional $3.50 per hour in compensation.

Schedule

Work may involve standing in one place for extended periods, walking, and climbing stairs. Ability to work overtime as needed. This role may require shifts beyond a standard workweek.
