Position Summary

This is a Cadmium Assistant position in our Cadmium Plating department. Employees in this position will learn tasks in order to prepare parts for processing. Cadmium Assistants may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. The Plating Assistants perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with experienced Operators and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
  • Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads; legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
  • General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed.
  • Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
  • Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning, layout, and racking; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
  • Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
  • Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
  • Familiar with engineering drawing notations.
  • Follow safety precautions to avoid preventable injury to self and other personnel.
  • Develop new product processing and identify areas for improvement.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service.

Qualifications
