Aerospace Cadmium Masker - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

Employees in this position will apply a variety of maskants to parts in preparation for Cadmium plating application. Maskers may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. Maskers perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. The FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Maskers, Platers, and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Maskers, Platers, and Department Leads.
• General review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed.
• Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
• Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
• Apply maskants to parts as called out in Purchase Orders and Tech Cards.
• Perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Follow Quality Assurance requirements.
• Follow safety precautions as trained.
• Assist in other areas within the Value Stream as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.

Education & Experience

• 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment.

Pay

• Salary Range For Position $ 19.30 - $ 21.80.

Schedule

• Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.).
