About the role

LRQA is seeking an experienced Aerospace Auditor to assess organizations against the AS9100D standard, which is part of the broader AS91xx series of standards for Quality Management Systems. This standard complements and does not replace customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake business assurance assessments within the authorized area of specialism, adhering to current procedures and agreed timescales.
  • Lead assessment teams effectively, ensuring visits are completed on time and coordinating team findings to draw conclusions.
  • Produce high-quality assessment reports that reflect business assurance principles and comply with accreditation requirements and internal procedures.
  • Keep internal client stakeholders informed of changes and issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Show broad knowledge of Business Assurance (BA) and Information Security (IS) products and services to discuss additional services with clients and promote higher value offerings.
  • Pass opportunities and sales leads to appropriate colleagues to advance.
  • Pass client feedback and insights to relevant internal recipients.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems, particularly in the aerospace industry. Experience in conducting assessments and familiarity with AS9100D and related standards are essential. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with relevant certifications such as ISO 9001.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, and travel may be required depending on project needs.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain attention to detail is also important. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards is beneficial.
