Position Summary
Employees in this position use a variety of methods to process parts in preparation for plating and other coatings. The operators perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. This is a trainee operator position in our Anodize department.
Anodize Operators may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. The FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with experienced Anodize Operator to complete work and prioritize tasks for On-Time delivery.
- Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced Anodize Operators to prepare and process parts; prepare, understand, and document technique cards.
- Prepare parts prior to operations including racking; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
- Legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
- General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed.
- Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
- Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
- Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
- Be familiar with engineering drawing notations.
- Be familiar with the safety precautions & know how to avoid injury to personnel.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
