Aerie - Selling Team Leader (Assistant Manager)
About the role
You are the Store Team Leader's "go-to" in developing and implementing the business strategy and leading the daily operations of the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into high-performing sellers who consistently provide an unforgettable guest experience. Through your leadership, your team always nails their sales goals, rocks merchandising brand standards and delivers operational excellence!
Responsibilities
- Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience.
- Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions.
- Develop short and long-term business plans to drive key KPIs.
- Motivate and inspire your team through AEO's core values.
- Recruit and hire strong talent to ensure the store is always staffed to meet business needs.
- Train and develop your team to ensure they continue to provide outstanding service to the best of their abilities.
- Execute and innovate daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards throughout every zone in the store, and ensure the Fitting Rooms are always guest-ready and rocking AEO Brand Standards.
- Ensure store safety standards are maintained, adhere to AEO's policies and procedures, and do the right thing - always.
Requirements
You love AE and Aerie products! You've led teams in a retail management role previously - #practicemakesperfect! You can multi-task and have attention to detail; priority-setting and time management are your strong suits. You know how to lead and develop teams and have a general understanding of employment law. Business acumen is a must-have. You have flexible availability - you're available to work when the guest shops!
Qualifications
You are passionate about driving sales, leading teams, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You have a proven track record of success in a retail management role and a strong commitment to AEO's values and mission. You possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, and you are comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Skills
Strong leadership, motivational skills, and ability to build and develop high-performing teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with retail management software. Ability to analyze data and make strategic business decisions. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Knowledge of employment law and AEO's policies and procedures.
