AegisBased Defense Futures Senior Systems Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the MDA/ABE Future Systems Architect in executing future capability studies, agile process development, and project execution using digital engineering tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Cameo).
• Provide Aegis technical assessment of working groups related to threat environments and navy focused studies.
• Generate and provide technical assistance for projects to address modeling and simulation, algorithm/software updates, and as the Scrum Lead.
• Develop working level and Executive level briefings on project topics and planned improvement programs.
• Collaborates with internal and external AB organizations on topics relevant to areas of responsibility.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
• Master’s Degree in STEM Field
• 12+ Years experience
• Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
• Missile System Experience
• Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.

Desired Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
• Experience with Missile Systems Engineering

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position in Virginia is $145,000/year to $175,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
