About the role
We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician who is self-motivated and has a strong work ethic to join our successful surgical practice!
Candidates must possess a positive professional attitude, ability to develop strong connections with our patients, treat patients with warmth and empathy, are team oriented and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply complex concepts to their daily work.
Responsibilities
- Scribe during surgical procedures
- Perform patient work-ups
- Conduct vision tests and refractions
- Assist the physician in the operating room
- Perform visual field and OCT testing
Requirements
- Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
- Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)
- High school or equivalent education
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of ophthalmic equipment and procedures
