About the role
We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician who is self-motivated and has a strong work ethic to join our successful surgical practice!
Candidates must possess a positive professional attitude, ability to develop strong connections with our patients, treat patients with warmth and empathy, are team oriented and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply complex concepts to their daily work.
Responsibilities
- Scribe during procedures
- Perform patient work-ups
- Conduct vision tests
- Refraction
- Medical terminology
- Assist the physician in the room
- Visual field and OCT testing
Requirements
- Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
- Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)
- High school or equivalent education
- Self-motivated and has a strong work ethic
- Positive professional attitude
- Ability to develop strong connections with patients

Schedule
This is a full-time traveling position between our offices in Elizabeth City NC, Kitty Hawk NC, Kinston NC, and Washington NC. Travel to other locations is required.
