Dr. Jitendra Swarup and the vision care experts at Albemarle Eye Center offer a comprehensive range of ophthalmic services including LASIK laser eye surgery, LenSx® Laser Cataract Removal, oculoplastics, glaucoma treatment, and routine eye exams and contact lens fittings. Located in Edenton, Elizabeth City, Kinston, Kitty Hawk, and Washington, our team is committed to delivering quality eye care and advanced medical and surgical treatments.
Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our successful surgical practice. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and possess a positive professional attitude. They should be able to develop strong connections with patients, treat them with warmth and empathy, and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply complex concepts to their work. Key responsibilities include scribing, patient work-up, vision testing, refracting, assisting the physician in the room, and performing visual field and OCT tests.
Education and Experience
- Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
- Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)
- High school or equivalent education
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time traveling position between our offices in Elizabeth City, NC, Kitty Hawk, NC, Kinston, NC, and Washington, NC. Travel to other locations is required.
