About the role

The full-time Merchandising Team Leader is responsible for developing and implementing the Merchandising strategy for the store. The role involves training and coaching the team to deliver AEO brand Visual standards every day, ensuring the store is always "guest ready," and representing company values.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience.

  • Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions contributing to the overall financial success of the store.

  • Develop short and long-term business plans to drive key KPIs, working closely with the Store Team Leader.

  • Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience, ensuring the store is always representative of AEO Brand Standards.

  • Ensure the store stays in tip-top shape by managing day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment.

  • Recruit and hire strong talent to ensure the store is staffed to meet business needs and train and develop the team to provide outstanding service.

  • Provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching, develop team touchbases, and drive associate engagement by celebrating outstanding performance.

  • Execute and innovate daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards throughout the store, and ensure the Fitting Rooms are always guest-ready and representative of AEO Brand Standards.

  • Maintain store safety standards, adhere to AEO policies and procedures, and do the right thing - always.

Qualifications

  • Loves AE and Aerie products.

  • Has previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.

  • Can multi-task and has attention to detail; priority-setting and time management are strong suits.

  • Knows how to lead and develop teams and has a general understanding of employment law.

  • Has business acumen and is flexible with availability.
