Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, with a focus on Layer 2/Layer 3 switching technologies
- Develop and implement network automation solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Manage and optimize network performance, availability, and security across data center and campus environments
- Automate routine network operations using scripting and orchestration tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network integration and deployment efforts
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis
- Maintain up-to-date network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Participate in change management, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of network engineering experience
- Strong expertise in: Layer 2/Layer 3 switching (VLANs, VRRP, MC-LAG, STP, VTP, PortChannel, and routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP)
- Network design and troubleshooting in enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with network automation tools, such as: Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Ansible, or similar scripting/automation frameworks REST APIs and network programmability concepts
- Familiarity with major networking platforms (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Arista, Juniper)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security fundamentals
