Prepare your resume and cover letter
- You can tailor your resume and any requested cover letter for each job you apply to.
- Make sure each fully reflects your relevant experience, education and skills for that position – our recruiters only forward applicants who meet all Required Qualifications listed on the job posting, including any Minimum and Additional Qualifications.
Here Are Some Other Quick Tips
- Communicate via email
- Check your email for updates about the status of your application.
- Be specific
- Include job responsibilities and achievements as opposed to only listing a job title.
- Be specific! Make sure to include dates or how long you worked at each job.
- Spell out acronyms and provide context to company-specific programs (example: Proficient in PAS [Purchasing and Accounts Payable Online System]).
- Be sure to include your computer experience. List each application specifically by name (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook, etc.).
- Don’t worry about references
- References will be checked only for top candidates. It’s not necessary to include a list of references on your resume.
Stay connected
- To find out about new jobs, sign up for Job Alerts (you’ll need to create an account, then go to the Job Alerts tab).
