Adventure Education Facilitator

About the role

The Outdoor Learning Department at Delaware County Christian School seeks to launch an adventure-based learning program called Declaration Adventures. This program will engage participants in outdoor adventure programming and related services to deepen their understanding of God and others, preparing them to serve and impact the world through biblical thought and action.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate various outdoor activities including group initiatives, hiking, orienteering, paddling, climbing, and instruction in outdoor ethics.
• Work with children and teens primarily aged 8–18, adapting programming to meet diverse needs while maintaining appropriate expectations for each group.

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of outdoor leadership philosophy.
• Formal education and/or relevant experience facilitating adventure-based activities.
• Significant experience working with children and teens, particularly in ages 8–18.
• Ability to adapt programming to meet diverse needs.
• Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a solid understanding of the Word of God.
• Formal degree, certification, training, or related experience in outdoor adventure programming.
